LET'S WIN BY LOSING TO THE WORLD...

The house was dark.  Anita had came to visit her grandfather after 5 long years, her grandfather stayed alone here. How he must be, she thought, two days ago he didn’t respond to her call and that actually panicked her.  She loved him so much and the childhood spend in his lap were the memorable days of her life. Anita pushed the door of her grandfather’s room, calling him fondly. Deliberately putting a childish tone to her voice, ‘Dadaji….Dadaji????????? The door creaked but the greeting went unanswered . Both fumbled for the light switch, but couldn’t find it. Rahul used the light from his mobile phone to locate the charpoy in the far corner of the room. Someone lay on it under the blanket. Anita moved the blanket and a face came into view. The eyes were closed. Rahul put the back of his hand near his nostrils and nodded, indicating that he was breathing. But he had fever. THE 4 DON'Ts TO MAINTAIN AN IDEAL RELATIONSHIP

As we are into the holy week, I attended a retreat on Tuesday at my church. The retreat was conducted by a Priest whom I was very fond off. The retreat revolved around the topic “ AN IDEAL FAMILY AND RELATIONSHIPS IN MODERN WORLD”. The way he spoke about the realities of life in a sarcastic and comic manner had everybody in splits that evening. I laughed a lot and learned a lot that day. I needed an experience like this to feel good, for many evenings had gone by without smiles and happiness. For a change to laugh forgetting my problems was a blissful experience. He listed 4 don’t’s to maintain an ideal relationship. Those 4 dont’s are :- 1- Do not compare Never compare your partner with others. Believe that your partner is the best and count him/her as your blessing.  Grass on the other side looks greener. 2- Do not compel Never compel your partner according to your wishes, your desires. Never force anything on him/her. let them be themselves, accept them as ...
