BE READY TO DIE FOR DEATH CAN COME ANYDAY...#NEPALEARTHQUAKE
Everything
was going so normal in life, joys were there, sorrows were there, dreams were
there, aspirations were there until people experienced tremors and found the
earth beneath them shaking. All of a sudden there was panic and terror all
around. All the plans made for a great future, all the investments done for a
secure life seemed to go in waste as people realized how mortal they were,
vulnerable every moment, for they never know when they will fall victim to the
wrath of nature. Earthquake never discriminates between the rich and the poor,
palace or a hut, it never matters both will be destroyed.
The earthquake
whose epicenter was in Nepal, its tremors were felt in several states of India.
Even me who was sitting in his house in Bhopal felt the tremors. Some of my
friends saw their sofa shaking, some saw their flower vase shaking. It was an
experience no one would ever want to forget. It was as if a powerful cyclone
went past me without touching me, without engulfing me into itself. It was as
if a train went past me without crushing me to death. Me and my city were safe
but Nepal was never the same as it was before, just a moment ago people were
laughing and smiling in that beautiful country and then all of a sudden
everything was turned upside down within minutes. Great building were turned
into debris, moving bodies were turned into stationery dead, land was split
into two, laughing was turned into chaos, their were screams all around and the
place was filled with lament and tears. So many people lost their lives, just
imagine a moment ago you were alive and in the next few moments we are dead,
pity on human life.
The vicar of
our church in his speech said, what just imagine if instead of Nepal,
earthquake had hit india. all the ladies imagine what if their husbands would
have been dead, all the husbands imagine what if their wives would have been
dead, all the parents imagine what if their children would have been death, all
the children imagine what if there parents would have been dead, just imagine
if any of your loved one was dead or in any case if you had died, what would be
the situation today, there would have been no smiling faces over here only
tears and cries. Just one moment and human life is finished as if it never
existed, that’s the status of human life. You never know when it may come to an
end. So many people younger than you have died, if you are still living, thank
God for the blessing he bestowed on you. Expect the unexpected and be ready to
die any moment, for no one can predict when death will come to take you away. Keep
no unfulfilled desires within you, live each and every moment, for human life
is short and there is no guarantee wheather the coming moment you would still
be breathing or not.
For a man is
like a grass, today he is fresh and blooming,
Tomorrow he
would wither away…..or would be uprooted…or would be trampled…..you never know
what fate has in store for him…
The earthquale really made me think Issac. I mean I was thinking how long it would take for these people to get their lives back on track, how difficult it would be and how distant it would be from their former lives. The ones who have lost their family and source of livelihood with nothing to count on. Of course the other countries are helping to get through the crisis. But how long will the support last, it takes so long to come out a crisis like this and sometimes even a lifetime. The entire incident is so beyond me that I cannot even begin to comprehend the lives of these poor people.
