The mirror on the wall speaks all that's on it's mind.
The things we have, call out for notice as well.
We may believe, we are ahead or woefully behind;
that we're not doing badly or going fast to hell.
Other folks in other places haven't luxuries so vain.
They wonder every breath they draw, which one will be the last.
Mother's see their children's hunger and agonizing pain
and realize their precious days and lives are fading fast.
Reality cries out from dark secluded corners
and bids us look upon deaths lonely face.
Imagine all the sadness as you watch the broken mourners.
Are you in truth a member of what is the human race?
The vanity, insanity and selfish life we live,
indites us for the times we turn away.
There's so much need and we don't heed the voice that tells us give.
God help us do what we should do today.
